The Ministry of Investment, representing Jordan, has joined the Arab Union for International Exhibitions & Conferences (AUIEC), which operates under the umbrella of the Arab League's Council of Arab Economic Unity (CAEU), the AUIEC announced on Sunday.
The Cairo-based organization's Chairman, Saif Midfa, stressed the importance of Jordan's AUIEC membership, which strengthens the union's role in achieving its goals of developing economic cooperation and increasing trade exchange between Arab countries.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Investment plays a 'key' role in supporting Jordanian exports and providing facilitations necessary to promote Jordan's product by holding internal and external exhibitions, as it constitutes the main link in the process of entering national exports to foreign markets, said its Secretary-General, Zaher Qatarneh.
This role is 'important,' which facilitates entry of Jordanian national products into the targeted global markets, Qatarneh said, adding that this activity is the 'main' axis on which Jordanian manufacturers and exporters rely to market their products globally.
For his part, the organization's Secretary-General, Mahmmoud Jarrah, welcomed the Ministry of Investment's AUIEC membership, adding that the organization is an umbrella for the exhibition and events industry (EEI) industry in all Arab countries, expressing hope for more coordination and cooperation with Jordan to serve the EEI sector and promote Jordan on the map of Arab and international exhibitions.
