The Ministry of Health said Monday that it recorded 14 coronavirus deaths and 1,602 infections across the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 10,965 and the caseload to 853,012.
According to the ministry's daily brief, the number of currently active cases reached 18,234 with 104 admitted to hospitals today, adding that 105 cases have been discharged. It said that the total number of confirmed cases that are now hospitalized reached 588.
According to the daily report, the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 15 per cent, intensive care beds was 26 per cent and ventilators 13 per cent.
The occupancy rate of isolation beds in the central region was at 16 percent, intensive care beds 29 per cent and ventilators 10 per cent, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 11 per cent, intensive care beds 16 per cent and ventilators 14 per cent, it said.
The ministry said that 1,191 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries by the end of the 14-day isolation period to 823,813.
It also said that 33,008 PCR tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of swab tests that had been collected since the beginning of the pandemic to 10,776,922, pointing out that the positivity rate for the day was about 4.85 per cent.
