QRCS launches 'warm winter' campaign to help refugees, displaced people
Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has officially launched its annual Warm Winter Campaign 2021-2022 under the theme 'Home Feels Warm'.
The campaign seeks to deliver humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable people in 14 countries, including Jordan, Palestine (the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip), Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sudan, Somalia, Albania, Kosovo, and Mongolia, according to a QRCS statement.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, the QRCS's Secretary-General, Ambassador Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, said, the Warm Winter Campaign 2021-2022 provides the vulnerable people with their basic needs of bread, food baskets, blankets, heating fuel, tent tarpaulins, medicines and health kits.
