In July, tourism revenue increased by $268 million reaching $292.4 million compared to the same month of last year, the bank indicated.
The figures indicated that tourist arrivals in July stood at 261,000, 43.5 per cent of who were non-resident Jordanians and 45 per cent Arab nationals.
Jordanians' expenditure on travel during July spiked by $125 million to $134 million, while the overall expenditure during the first seven months of 2021 inched up by 29.2 per cent to $402 million.
