The Ministry of Health announced 13 Covid-19 fatalities and 522 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Thursday, bringing the death toll to 9, 635 and the caseload to 745, 366.
There are currently 6, 845 active COVID-19 cases in Jordan, announced the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.
The statement added that the number of hospitalizations today stood at 63, while 62 patients have recovered and discharged, the statement noted.
According to the briefing, the total number of recoveries recorded on Thursday, whether at hospitals or at home, stood at 494, bringing the total to 728,896 since the outbreak began.
Moreover, the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals countrywide has reached 489.
The statement also indicated that occupancy of the ICU bed capacity has hit 10%, 27%, and 6%, in the northern, central, and southern regions, respectively.
With regard to testing, 21,212 tests were conducted Thursday, 2.46 percent of which were positive.
Since March, 2020, the total number of tests administered has increased to 7,628,372, the joint statement noted.
The statement added that 2,040,499 people received the first Covid-19 vaccine dose countrywide, while the tally of 2nd jab recipients hit 851, 498, noting 2,976, 601 people have so far registered on the gov't platform designed to arrange schedule of vaccine rollout.
