Madaba: 43,000 people received COVID-19 vaccine so far
Assistant Director of Madaba Health Affairs, Dr. Mustafa al-Atrash, said the number of people who received the Covid-19 vaccine in the central governorate has reached about 43,000 people so far.
Al-Atrash said the process of administering the vaccine jabs is taking place at the health centers approved for this purpose, across the governorate, 30 kilometres (19 miles) south-west of the capital Amman.
The health teams, he said, are scheduled this week give teachers the second dose, adding that immunization services have been provided to the Madaba trade sector over the past two weeks, despite the shortage of the governorate's medical cadres.
Al-Atrash said the citizen is a 'strategic' partner and bears a 'great' responsibility to follow procedures issued by the Ministry of Health, to preserve public health and safety by wearing masks and maintaining physical distance.
