Japanese ambassador visits Al Hussein Technical University
Japanese Ambassador in Amman SHIMAZAKI Kaoru on Thursday visited the Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), a Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), and met with its President Dr. Ismail Al-Hinti and faculty members.
During the meeting attended by a delegation of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and a number of Japanese embassy officials, both sides explored ways of possible cooperation in areas of education and training.
Al-Hinti spoke about the university's development and modernization drive as well as its cooperation with foreign embassies in the Kingdom and international educational institutions. He stressed that the university is looking forward to ramping up cooperation and exchange programs with Japanese institutions and JICA.
The Japanese ambassador was briefed on the university's programs, educational model and study plans that align the outputs of higher education with the requirements of the labor market through networking with the industrial and business sectors.
During the meeting, Kaoru was briefed on training and employment programs offered by the university for fresh graduates through its training and employment program, commending the university for its technical education and quality programs aimed at preparing Jordan's youth for the labor market.
