PBA commends King’s efforts to support Palestinians
President of the Palestinian Businessmen Association (PBA) in the Gaza Strip, Ali Hayek, lauded King Abdullah II's directives to the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) to equip a new field hospital in the coastal enclave.
Hayek referred to the other JAF hospital, which began providing urgent medical and humanitarian services since 13 ago to more than two million Palestinians there amid continuing Israeli aggression.
In a press statement on Wednesday, Hayek praised Jordan's 'noble' humanitarian role to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by providing the 'best medical services and urgent assistance' to the population.
Jordan's efforts also focused on sending additional supplies to enhance the capabilities of the existing Jordanian field hospital to serve the sick, wounded people in the Gaza Strip, according to Hayek.
'This support came at an important time for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, especially since Jordan provided its best skilled doctors in many specialties, and sent medicines and medical equipment needed in this critical circumstance, amid a severe shortage of medicines in Gaza hospitals, a move reflecting Jordanian-Palestinian brotherhood,' he said.
Jordan, he noted, was at the forefront of supporters to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, and operates with high efficiency and competency the field hospital in the Strip and provides the best medical services and medicines to Gazans.
Hayek appealed to all world countries to put pressure on the Israeli occupation to end its aggression on the Gaza Strip, to send medical teams, and medical supplies to the Palestinian people, and to allocate special and urgent support for the reconstruction to what Israel has destroyed.
