Breaking down Sunday's tally, the MoH said that 3,813 cases were recorded in Amman, 1,243 in Irbid, 674 in Balqa, 589 in Zarqa, 465 in Madaba, 385 in Aqaba, 370 in Mafraq, 352 in Jerash, 351 in Ajloun, 349 in Karak, 111 in Tafilah and 87 in Maan.
The MoH said in a press statement that some 370 people had recovered and were discharged from hospitals while 482 others were admitted, as the total number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals stands at 3,307.
The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 95,412, it added.
More than 434,160 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
Around 18 percent of the 46,500 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.day, bringing the death toll to 5,876 and the caseload to 535,455.
