Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh instructed all ministries, public and official institutions, government departments, authorities, bodies, public universities, government-owned companies, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), municipalities and shared services councils, to take strict and resolute measures using the minimum number of employees necessary to sustain work and provide services for citizens, not exceeding (30%) of the total number of employees, as of Sunday morning, February 28.
The circular issued by the Prime Minister today to ministries and institutions excluded entities that require the nature of their work otherwise, and in no way exceeding 50 percent of the employees, through employee rotation or remote work, provided that the Audit Bureau monitors the implementation of these measures.
This procedure comes in light of the increase in cases of coronavirus, and based on the government's keenness to maintain public health and safety and the stability of the epidemiological situation, and to avoid overcrowding of employees at work sites.
