Interior Minister assures strict implementation of Defense Orders
Minister of Interior Samir Mobaideen on Monday chaired a meeting with local governors and senior officers of the Public Security Directorate, to discuss procedures of implementing Defense Orders in light of the recent updates on the Kingdom’s epidemiological situation.
The minister stressed the need to strictly proceed with applying the Defense Orders and making sure all citizens and institutions are adhering to it, noting that the current alarming health conditions created additional burdens on all sectors.
During the meeting, the officials agreed to redeploy police patrols near hospitals and in the main sites where they were previously located at the beginning of the pandemic 'as needed', and to monitor citizens’ commitment to public safety measures in parks, buses, bakeries, restaurants and coffee shops in terms of wearing masks or keeping physical distance, emphasizing that those who violate the Orders will face strict penalties.
