AMMONNEWS - The extreme late-summer heat wave that has brought above-40 temperatures to the Kingdom is expected to roast the region through the rest of the week, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Mercury levels today are expected to score 9 to 10 degrees above annual average, the JMD added, with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate winds and clouds at different altitudes.
Over the next two days, the weather will remain dry and sweltering countrywide, and some clouds at medium and high altitudes are forecast, said the JMD report.
