Royal Medical Services increases bed capacity for patients
AMMONNEWS - Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Thursday, directed the Royal Medical Services (RMS) to raise the absorptive capacity of its military field hospital at the isolation area in the Dead Sea to 400 beds.
Huneiti also ordered to increase capacity of the RMS hospitals, including isolation and ICU rooms, in addition to increasing epidemiological investigation teams, in light of a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases.
In the same context, the RMS personnel have collected around 2,500 coronavirus samples in Sahab area, including workers in 40 factories and three banks, as well as samples from the Free Zone administration, as part of the Royal Medical Services efforts to curb the spread of the pandemic.
