Adaileh : Kingdom may see uptick in COVID-19 cases in next days
AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom may record a higher number of COVID-19 infections today and over the coming few days similar to most countries of the world, State Minister for Media Affairs Amjad Adaileh said on Tuesday.
Notwithstanding the possible increase in the disease incidence, the minister added, the government will work according to a new strategy that guarantees no disruption to education or economic activity and 'enables us to cope, adapt and continue life according to the conditions which we live in.'
Speaking at a joint press conference with other ministers, Adaileh, who is also the government’s official spokesperson, said schools and universities will reopen as planned throughout the academic year and under effective health safety measures.
The minister dismissed as 'utterly false and unfounded' rumors that the government plans to let schools open for a week or a month before returning to distance education and after collecting tuition fees.
