Irbid: 1,400 samples collected from contacts of COVID-19 patients
AMMONNEWS - Some 1,400 samples were collected in the past 24 hours from contacts of four COVID-19 patients in the Irbid governorate, a health official told Petra.
Riad Shayab, Director of the governorate's Health Affairs Department, on Monday said that 10 epidemiological investigation field teams are operating around the clock to collect more samples from first, second and third-degree contacts of those infected with the virus.
Shayab pointed out that the National Epidemiological Committee is awaiting the test results of the Jaber border crossing staff, who were quarantined in hotels in Irbid.
Head of the local epidemiological investigation teams Ali Zetawi stated that the testing area in the Ramtha district has been expanded to collect as many samples as possible.
