AMMONNEWS - Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, confirmed the Kingdom's absolute solidarity with Lebanon in dealing with impacts of the catastrophic explosion in Beirut port last week.
'International support is essential in helping Lebanon overcome the crisis caused by the explosion as Lebanon is facing difficult economic challenges and the coronavirus pandemic', said Safadi in a speech at the briefing on the humanitarian situation in Lebanon on Monday, which was organized by the United Nations via video conference.
'We cannot leave Lebanon alone, and the Kingdom is in full solidarity with it,' Safadi stressed.
He indicated that Jordan, whose field hospital started to operate in Beirut, continues to send aid to Lebanon and will do everything it can to help it cope with the consequences of this crisis.
Under directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Safadi announced that he will visit Lebanon tomorrow to confirm the Kingdom's solidarity with the Lebanese people and to coordinate aid efforts.
