Razzaz chairs meeting on promoting national health industry
AMMONNEWS - Prime Minister Omar Razzaz emphasized in a meeting he held Wednesday with industrialists the importance of increasing the reliance of the health sector in Jordan on the national industry.
Razzaz, who chaired the meeting, pointed out a meeting that is slated to take place this evening to link between Jordanian factories with hospitals in the private sector as he highlighted its importance in raising the level of awareness about the effectiveness of national products and their cost efficiency.
The Jordanian government and people take pride in the accomplishments of the national health industry, Razzaz said, adding 'We have been proud in our industrial sector for a long time. And the coronavirus pandemic has created an opportunity to prove the ability of this sector in entrepreneurship and adaptation to the toughest circumstances as we are proud of our health sector in all of its classifications at the level of the region and the world.'
'The biggest example about the national industry's capabilities is that before corona, Jordan had barely produced masks or medical sanitizers. However, in a short period of time, Jordan managed to produce 4.5 million masks a day and can cover all its sanitization needs, and now it exports to more than 70 countries,' the Premier said.
He said the Kingdom's ability to adaptation enables it to withstand all challenges and be resilient as this will view Jordan as a stable country.
