7 new COVID-19 cases reported, 11 recovered on Saturday in Jordan
AMMONNEWS - 7 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, all imported, bringing the total caseload since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1111, the Health Ministry announced.
On the new infections, 4 cases belong to Jordanians coming from abroad, who are currently staying in quarantine hotels (3 from Saudi Arabia, 1 from Kuwait), and 3 cases belong to truck drivers arriving at the Al Omari Border Crossing, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.
11 patients have also recovered in the Prince Hamza Hospital, added the joint statement.
According to the government statement, 7234 laboratory tests were carried out today, bringing the total number conducted since the start of the pandemic to 369560.
The Health Ministry reaffirmed the need to use the 'Aman' application, which contributes to protecting individuals from contacting with infected persons, and detecting cases of infection early.
