AMMONNEWS - Fixed-term contracts of Jordanian workers, which end during the period from April 30th and until the Defense Law is suspended, must be renewed, a Ministry of Labor official said.
In a statement on Wednesday, director of the Ministry’s Legal Affairs, Marina Al-Hunaity, said the applicability of the renewal is conditioned by the fact that employee contract should have been already renewed three times or more.
'Employers are obliged to reinstate the dismissed workers and renew contracts for similar periods until the suspension of the Defense Law, unless a longer period is agreed upon. Those who fail to do so will be subject to penalties' she added.
