AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on Thursday discussed with UK Secretary of State Dominic Raab efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and a number of Middle East issues, namely the Palestinian cause.
During a phone conversation, Safadi stressed that the international community must act swiftly and effectively to protect peace prospects from Israel's dangerous and unprecedented scheme to annex Palestinian territories in the Jordan Valley and northern Dead Sea region.
The minister paid tribute to Britain's support for a two-state solution which is the only way to bring about just and comprehensive peace. Further, Safadi thanked Britain for its assistance to the UNRWA.
The discussion covered ways to further cement Jordanian-UK relations in economic and defense domains.
