Emergency declared to deal with forecast unstable weather
AMMONNEWS - The Ministry of Local Administration declared a maximum state of emergency, starting on Tuesday, to deal with weather instability as forecasts predict a depression will affect the Kingdom in the next two days.
The Ministry served notices to municipalities, directorates of municipal affairs and service councils to take all necessary precautions, open operation rooms, check manholes and sewers, inspect valleys and secure the necessary machinery to deal with the out-of-season unstable weather conditions.
The ministry called on the public to stay away from low-lying areas where flash floods can form, follow weather forecasts and call, when necessary, the ministry's main operations room, 064652697/064641393.
