AMMONNEWS - Authorities on Wednesday evacuated the last 7 people quarantined at an Aqaba hotel after completing their mandatory isolation period amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Aqaba Health Affairs Director, Ibrahim Al-Muayah, said that 260 people have been quarantined in the city's hotel facilities since the beginning of the crisis, as part of the government's precautionary measures to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
'The epidemiological inspection teams are working around the clock to test all arrivals to Aqaba via the Wadi Araba and al-Masfar crossings to ensure they are coronavirus-free,' he added.
