Eased curfew regulations in Karak take effect today
AMMONNEWS - Governmental institutions and all commercial facilities in Karak, located 140 kilometers south of Amman, were allowed to open on Wednesday, based on instructions of the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management to isolate the Governorate from other parts of the Kingdom and ease curfew regulations.
Governor of Karak, Jamal Al Fayez, said all shops and restaurants will be opened between 10am and 6pm, taking into account the requirements of public safety and security.
'Educational institutions, training centers, public parks and wedding halls will remain closed in the governorate,' the official said, noting that no mass-gathering events would be allowed.
Al Fayez added that inspection teams will be touring the city to check on the observance of health measures and social distancing in markets, and any violating facility will be closed.
