AMMONNEWS - Temperatures will significantly on Wednesday, as cold and partly cloudy to cloudy conditions will prevail with intermittent rain in various parts of the Kingdom, mainly the northern and central areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
The weather will turn to be colder at night with low-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Department added.
Thursday is expected to bring in similar weather conditions with spotty showers starting in the northern and central regions, extending to the eastern areas, while winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the JMD noted.
The chilly front is expected to deepen on Friday, accompanied by a depression centered over Cyprus, pushing thermometers down and bringing extremely cold and cloudy conditions with rainfall nationwide that may turn heavy with thunder and hail, causing flash floods in valleys and low lands, the JMD further said.
Snow showers are also expected in the late night hours over the highlands , the department noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will reach 10 degrees Celsius in Amman, and 8 in the northern cities, dropping down to 6 and 4. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 20 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 13, the JMD explained.
