AMMONNEWS - Cold and cloudy weather conditions will continue today with scattered showers and northwesterly brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Heavy downpours are also forecast in some areas, including Aqaba city, forming floods in the valleys and low-lands and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, the JMD added.
A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Sunday, with relatively cold conditions prevailing in the mountain heights and plains, while it will be fair in the rest of the country. Clouds will appear at low altitudes and winds will be northwesterly moderate.
On Monday, another rise in temperatures will bring pleasant weather conditions nationwide, with westerly moderate winds.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in the capital and the northern cities will reach 11 degrees Celsius, and 17 in the southern parts of the country, dropping down to 4, 7 and 12 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 22 degrees and lows standing at 16, the JMD added.
