AMMONNEWS - Health Minister Sa'ad Jaber on Sunday announced the test results for the novel coronavirus patient in Jordan that he is now recovering.
In a joint press briefing with the State Minister for Media Affairs Amjad al-Adaileh, Jaber affirmed that there is only one confirmed COVID-19 case in Jordan so far.
Jaber also pointed out the new Cabinet decisions, taken today, aim to increase government measures to control any spread of the novel coronavirus in the Kingdom.
Under these Cabinet decisions, foreign workers will be barred from traveling abroad, work permits for foreigners will be halted, foreign exchange students' trips to coronavirus countries will be banned except in limited cases, school trips will be stopped to foreign countries, and government employees' flights abroad will be suspended.
The minister said the Cabinet also decided to increase monitoring measures at border crossings, pointing out the epidemiologists will be consulted for recommendations on safety precautions.
