AMMONNEWS - Temperatures will rise few degrees on Monday, so the weather will be relatively cold in most parts of the Kingdom, and pleasant in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with low-altitude clouds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, the department added, predicting fog formation over highlands in the late night hours.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday, bringing spring-like moderate weather conditions in many regions, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the southern city of Aqaba where it is expected to be warm, the JMD added.
As of Wednesday, temperatures will continue to increase, marking 5-7 degrees above annual average, but similar pleasant conditions will prevail with southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
The highs today will reach 15 degrees Celsius in Amman and 11 in the northern cities, sliding down to 6 and 3 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 degrees dropping down to 13 at night, the JMD said.
