Cold, cloudy weather with spotty showers forecast Sunday
AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected on Sunday, bringing cold and cloudy weather with spotty showers in the northern, central and parts of the eastern regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
The weather will be even colder in the evening but chances of rainfall will gradually decrease, the JMD added, predicting fog formation over highlands in the late night hours.
The highs today will reach 13 degrees Celsius in Amman, and 9 in the northern and the southern highlands, sliding down to 6, 5 and 2 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 21 degrees dropping down to 11 at night, the JMD said.
On Monday, mercury levels will increase few degrees, bringing relatively cold weather in most parts of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, where it is expected to be fair, with low-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD noted.
As of Tuesday, a further rise in temperatures is expected, so pleasant weather will prevail in many regions, while warm conditions will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba with southeasterly moderate winds, the Department further said.
