AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom on Tuesday will remain under the effect of the unstable weather conditions, with thermometers pushed down and heavy downpours in most parts of the country, accompanied by thunder and hail at times and causing flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas.
The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) in its daily report said light snow is also expected over the southern high peaks in the early morning hours, adding that chances of rainfall will gradually decrease at night, while winds will be northwesterly to brisk with strong gusts.
The highs today will reach 15 degrees Celsius in Amman, 12 in the northern region and 13 in the southern highlands, sliding down to 7, 5 and 3 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 degrees dropping down to 11 at night, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will rise again on Wednesday, but similar cold and cloudy weather will continue to prevail with a possibility of light showers in the northern and central regions. Winds will be northwesterly moderate to brisk, stirring dust, the Department noted.
A further rise in temperatures is forecast on Thursday. Therefore, it will be pleasant in most areas and warm in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with high clouds and southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD
