Unstable weather conditions spilling across Kingdom today
AMMONNEWS - Unstable weather conditions are forecast today as temperatures drop, making it cold in most parts of the country with cloudy skies and scattered showers, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Rain is expected to be heavy in southern and eastern regions accompanied by thunderstorms, while wind will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times and stirring dust in the Badia.
On Monday, sporadic outbreaks of rain remain possible, especially in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, and winds will be northwesterly moderate, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will slightly rise on Tuesday, but cold weather will persist in most regions except for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be pleasant. Clouds will appear at medium altitudes, building up through the night to make it possible for scattered showers in different parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures expected in the capital will reach a high of 14 degrees Celsius, 9 in the northern parts and hover around 15 in the southern region, dropping down to 7, 4 and 3 respectively. Mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 25 degrees sliding to 12 at night, the JMD added.
