King directs PSD personnel to donate blood to sick citizen
AMMONNEWS - His Majesty King Abdullah Tuesday morning directed Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director, Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh, to secure necessary blood units for a sick citizen, after his Majesty's follow-up on the patient relatives' appeal via a local media outlet.
In implementation of Royal directives, Hawatmeh directed PSD personnel to donate blood for the citizen.
PSD personnel from various departments and police units, the gendarmerie and civil defense forces, secured in a short time more than 100 blood units placed at the disposal of the medical staff, responsible for the case.
For their part, relatives of the patient thanked His Majesty King Abdullah for responding to their appeal and his immediate directives to assist them.
They said, 'As always His Majesty is close to his people, and he is the first one to take care of them. He spares no efforts in fulfilling their peoples' needs and provides support and assistance to them,' expressing appreciating to efforts of PSD director and personnel and to their quick response to secure the required blood units.
