Cabinet endorses Instructions for Engineering, Consulting Offices' Classification
AMMONNEWS - At its session chaired by Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, the Council of Ministers has on Wednesday approved the Classification Instructions for Technical Service Providers (engineering and consulting offices) for 2020.
The Instructions aim to regulate work of offices providing technical, consulting and engineering services, and to define clear foundations for classifying them within their various categories, to ensure quality of services they provide, and to preserve the worker rights.
According to the Instructions, the engineering and consulting offices in the governorates were obliged to register their workers under the Social Security Corporation's (SSC) coverage umbrella.
The by-law allows engineering offices and technical service providers to rectify their status, in accordance with the Instructions' provisions within a year of their issuance.
In another decision, the Council of Ministers has approved a by-law amending the Technical Office Regulations of the Cassation Court for 2020.
By establishing technical offices in each court, the by-law comes to reduce the burden on judges of the Cassation Court, the Supreme Administrative Court and the appeal courts, which will positively reflect on their work and contribute to the speedy litigation.
