Rainy weekend forecast as depression takes effect today
AMMONNEWS - A depression centred over Cyprus will affect Jordan on Wednesday, and temperatures are expected to slightly, the Jordan Metrological Department (JMD) said.
The northern and eastern regions of the Kingdom should expect showers, the department said, adding that heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and floods are expected at times.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will hover around 13 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern cities, and 11 degrees in the southern cities, dropping down to 6, 7 and 4 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 23 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 11 degrees at night.
