PSD chief orders halt to vehicle tickets registered in absentia
AMMONNEWS - Public Security Director Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh on Tuesday ordered that vehicle tickets issued in absentia be cancelled, and that only offenses issued in person will be validated.
The measure, he said, is to ensure that no errors occur and meet the objective of ticketing, that is notifying a motorist of the risks of a violation.
In a press statement, Hawatmeh asked authorities to investigate all complaints received from the public about tickets issued in the absence of an officer and to take due legal action in this respect, adding that no complaint should be neglected.
