AMMONNEWS - Cold weather conditions remain on Tuesday in most parts of the Kingdom with rainfall in the central and eastern areas that may turn heavy at times, accompanied by thunder, lightning and hail and causing floods in valleys and lowlands.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), fog formation is expected at night over the highlands and Badia areas.
Mercury levels will rise few degrees on Wednesday, so relatively cold weather will prevail in many regions, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with clouds at various altitudes and southeasterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
On Thursday, another cold and wet air mass accompanied by a depression will affect the Kingdom, bringing cloudy skies with heavy rain at times. Winds will be southwesterly moderate to brisk, the department further said.
Daytime temperatures for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 13 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 7 at night. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees and lows standing at 15.
