AMMONNEWS - A depression with a in temperatures will begin to affect the country on Thursday, bringing partly cloudy skies and rainfall in the northern regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
By the afternoon, rainfall will gradually extend to the central regions and parts of the southern and eastern regions, and is expected to be heavy accompanied by thunder and forming floods, while winds will be westerly moderate to brisk.
Another dip in temperatures is expected on Friday, with cold weather, cloudy skies and scattered showers in different regions.
Same weather conditions will prevail on Saturday with a weak chance during the day for light showers in the eastern part of the kingdom. Winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking up at times.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 15 degrees Celsius, 16 in the northern cities and 14 in the southern governorates, dropping down to 6, 8 and 5 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 25 degrees Celsius and lows standing at 13, the JMD explained.
The JMD warned of low visibility due to low-altitude clouds, and of possible danger from floods and slippery roads during rain.
