FM meets with families of Jordanians imprisoned in Israel
AMMONNEWS - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, on Monday evening met with families of Jordanian detainees in Israeli prisons.
The ministry will continue to follow up on affairs of Jordanians in Israeli prisons, and will spare no effort to do so in a way that preserves their rights and meets their needs, Safadi said in the meeting.
The ministry, Safadi added, will also continue to work according to a clear institutional mechanism and through communication with the families to achieve their demands.
The ministry will arrange individual and group visits to the Jordanians in the Israeli prisons, and will continue, through the Jordanian Embassy in Tel Aviv, to conduct visits to check on them and provide them with support, as well as providing everything possible to improve conditions of their detention.
At the end of the meeting, Safadi gave directions to form a joint committee of families and the foreign ministry to meet periodically at the ministry to follow up all the issues, concerns and demands of families of Jordanians in Israeli prisons.
