Foreign Ministry releases statement on child abused in Turkey
AMMONNEWS - Director of the Operations Center at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Sufian Qudah, Sunday said the center is looking into a video circulated on social media platforms, showing a man assaulting a child, who later turned out to be Jordanian.
He stated that the Jordanian embassy in Ankara contacted the concerned Turkish authorities, who in turn apprehended the person in question.
The embassy also reached out to the child's parents, and is providing them support at this time, Qudah added.
He underlined the ministry's keenness to keep up with matters of Jordanians abroad, and look out for their interest.
