AMMONNEWS - Interior Minister, Salameh Hammad, on Wednesday met with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Safia Al Suhail on the occasion of ending her tenure in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, Hammad stressed the 'deep-rooted' and 'historic' relations between the two countries, which are witnessing continuous development in various fields, especially in the security domain, calling for the need to build on them to serve common interests.
The minister pointed to the importance of the mutual partnership and the need to activate and develop it to serve interests of the two brotherly peoples, expressing the government's readiness to overcome any obstacles or difficulties that may face Iraqi people during their entry and stay in the Kingdom in accordance with the regulations and rules in force.
For her part, the Iraqi ambassador praised the 'advanced' level of bilateral ties, and the Jordanian government's keenness to extend all forms of support to the Iraqi community in Amman, to address obstacles facing them.
