AMMONNEWS - Minister of Sate for Media Affairs, Jumana Ghunaimat, has held a meeting with directors of news on local broadcast stations for a discussion on local and regional issues, as well as the economy.
The meeting follows a series of meetings with journalists aimed at entrenching the government's approach to transparency and openness.
Ghunaimat, who is also the spokesperson of the government, highlighted a set of positive indicators for the economy, chief of which are: a 4.3 percent increase in the national exports in the first half of 2019, the pumping of Iraqi oil into Jordan, as well as the Kingdom securing the 6th place among Arab countries as it achieved a 10-point progress on the sustainable development goals (SDG), according to a UN report.
She stressed that the government is working on a set of decisions and initiatives to stimulate the economy and encourage investment, and improve the quality of basic services provided to citizens.
