Relatively hot weather forecast as temperatures set to over weekend
AMMONNEWS - A slight in temperatures is expected Thursday, bringing relatively hot weather in the hilly areas and plains and hot in other parts of the country with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, and stirring dust in the desert, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in the capital will reach 35 degrees Celsius, in the northern cities 33 and 32 in the southern parts of the country, dropping down to 21, 22 and 17 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 42 degrees and lows sliding at 28 degrees, the JMD added.
Another in mercury levels will prevail over the weekend, but normal summer conditions will continue prevail nationwide, except for the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be hot, with clouds at low altitudes and northwesterly moderate winds, picking up at times.
