AMMONNEWS - Temperatures are expected to slightly rise on Wednesday, becoming 3-5 degrees above annual average, bringing hot and dry weather in many parts of the Kingdom and extremely hot conditions in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 36 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 25 and 24 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 44 degrees and lows standing at 31 at night, it further added.
Temperatures will again on Thursday creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other regions with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
A further in mercury levels is expected on Friday. Therefore, normal summer conditions will prevail in the mountainous areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other areas with low clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department added.
