Normal summer conditions forecast Monday, rise in temps until Wednesday
AMMONNEWS - Normal summer conditions are expected to prevail on Monday in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert, the Jordan Meteorological Department(JMD) said.
At night, the weather will be pleasant in many areas, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
Temperatures will slightly rise on Tuesday bringing relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, and hot in other parts of the country with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD said.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, becoming 3-4 degrees above their annual average, but similar weather conditions will remain in the mountainous areas and the plains, while it will be hot to extremely hot in other regions with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department noted.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 31 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 22 and 21 at night. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 39 degrees and lows standing at 29 at night, it further added.
