AMMONNEWS - Temperatures on Monday are expected to rise few degrees above their annual average bringing relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk, blowing dust at times mainly in the Badia region , the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern areas will hover around 33 degrees Celsius dropping down to 22 and 21 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius and lows sliding to 29 at night, the JMD further said.
A further rise in mercury levels is also forecast over the next two days, but similar conditions will continue to prevail across many parts of the country, with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust at times in the desert areas, the JMD added.
