Normal summer conditions forecast Sunday, rise in temps forecast until Tuesday
AMMONNEWS - Normal summer conditions are expected to prevail on Sunday in many parts of the Kingdom, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea with low clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Temperatures will slightly rise on Monday, becoming above their annual average and creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other regions with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
A further rise in mercury levels is expected on Tuesday, bringing hot and dry weather in many areas, while it will be very hot in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with high clouds. Winds will be northeasterly to northwesterly moderate to brisk at times, the department noted.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman, the northern areas will hover around 31 degrees Celsius dropping down to 20 and 21 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 40 degrees Celsius and lows sliding to 28 at night, the JMD further said.
