Hot, summer-like conditions continue for three days
AMMONNEWS - Normal summer conditions will continue to prevail on Tuesday in many parts of the Kingdom, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with low clouds and northwesterly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
At night, pleasant conditions will continue in most areas, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, with northwesterly moderate winds.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 32 degrees Celsius, dropping down to 22 and 24 degrees respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 42 degrees and lows sliding to 30, the JMD added.
A tangible rise in mercury levels is expected on Wednesday, becoming 4-6 degrees Celsius above their annual average, bringing hot to extremely hot conditions across many parts of the country, the JMD noted.
Temperatures will again on Thursday, bringing back relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other regions with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds at times, the department further added.
