Temperatures climb to high 30s as heat wave continues
AMMONNEWS - Hot and dry conditions are expected to prevail Sunday in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be very hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman and the northern cities will reach 36 degrees Celsius dropping down to 23 at night, while mercury levels in the southern governorates will range between a high of 34 and a low of 20. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 41 degrees and lows dropping down to 28, the JMD added.
Clouds are expected to appear at high altitudes, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the JMD added.
A slight in mercury levels is forecast on Tuesday, but relatively hot to hot conditions will continue across the country with high clouds and northwesterly moderate winds.
