AMMONNEWS - The Kingdom on Thursday remains under the impact of the heatwave that brought hot and dry conditions across the country and pushed daytime temperatures to 38 degrees in the capital and 42 in the Gulf of Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Mercury levels are forecast to cool down at night dropping to 24 degrees in the capital and sliding to 29 degrees in Aqaba, the JMD said.
Temperatures will slightly on Friday, but it will remain hot in many regions with clouds at high altitudes and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the eastern areas, the JMD added.
A further in mercury levels is expected on Saturday creating relatively hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the Kingdom with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the department noted.
