Moderate weather forecast Monday, hot over next two days
AMMONNEWS - Moderate conditions are expected to prevail on Monday in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the country, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
High Clouds are also expected with northwesterly moderate winds, blowing dust in the desert.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 33 degrees Celsius, in the northern and southern cites 31, dropping down to 21, 19 and 18 respectively. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 39 degrees and lows standing at 27, the JMD added.
Temperatures will slightly rise on Tuesday, bringing back relatively hot to hot conditions across the country with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, raising dust at times in the Badia regions, the JMD said.
Mercury levels will further rise on Wednesday, becoming 5-7 degrees above their annual average and creating hot conditions in the mountainous areas and the plains, while it will be very hot in Badia, the Jordan Valley and Aqaba.
