AMMONNEWS - A hot and dry air mass will be affecting the country Wednesday, raising temperatures 5-7 degrees above their annual average and bringing hot conditions across many parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
Clouds will appear at high altitudes with northwesterly moderate winds picking up at times, the JMD added.
Daytime temperatures forecast for today in Amman and the northern cities will hover around 36 degrees Celsius dropping down at night to 23 in both areas, while it will be 34 in the southern cities sliding to 18 at night. The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 43 degrees and lows standing at 27, the JMD said .
Temperatures will further rise over the next two days, bringing hot conditions in most regions and very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds turning to gently southwesterly in nighttime.
